SportsXpress Announces Partnership With The Brantford Galaxy Of The CSL
Kitchener, ON, June 1, 2011 – SportsXpress has announced their partnership with the Brantford Galaxy of the Canadian Soccer League (CSL). The company was brought on by Galaxy Managing Director Gerry Crnic to represent the team’s marketing needs.
“We didn’t have any in-house marketing and SportsXpress was able to bring their experience in event planning, sponsorship and ideas of how to market and promote a brand to the table. Through their strong relationships with local businesses they have already brought in Montana’s as a sponsor of the Galaxy,” said Crnic.
The Galaxy are currently in their second season in the CSL, having won the league championship last year, in only their first season. The club’s goals are to not only bring over quality players from Europe, but to also develop homegrown talent and raise the level of soccer in Brantford and surrounding communities.
“We are very excited to work with the Galaxy to help build their profile and also the awareness of semi-pro and professional soccer both on a grassroots and professional level in Canada,” said Walter Browning, CEO of SportsXpress.
“SportsXpress will definitely bring that dimension to the Galaxy. Other teams are already starting to look at what we’re doing,” added Crnic. “The more visible we are, the more visible the league is, and the more visible the league is, the more value other clubs will see in creating a partnership like this.”

“I’d like to welcome Dallas and Amy Knowles in Oshawa/Whitby, Don Knowles in Ottawa, Carol and Doug Kane in Kingston and Jim Snowdon in Brampton, to the SportsXpress team.”
Each new zone is gearing up to launch early this year, and are looking forward to sharing their sports stories and promoting local athletes. As dedicated and passionate partners, these Community Sport Coaches are trained to be the voice and face of community sports within their own community.
“We’re excited to be taking on this new venture and look forward to working with the local sports teams and local community,” said Amy and Dallas Knowles of the Oshawa/Whitby Sports Zone.
“As a very active sports family, we truly believe there is a need in the Greater Kingston Area for a publication and website that is 100 percent focused on local sports. We hope to promote the lifestyle we live and to become the voice of all Kingston and area sports associations,” said Carol and Doug Kane.
“With an estimated population of over 500,000 people, Brampton is certainly ready for a local sports voice in the community. I look forward to bringing this exciting new publication to the City of Brampton,” says Jim Snowdon.
