Note: Submission of this agreement form does not constitute acceptance by Sports Express Media Inc (SportsXpress) of the applicant. Nor does it commit the applicant in any way.
Conditions of Agreement between Reporter and SportsXpress
(SportsXpress includes Sports Express Media Inc and/or our associated Owner/Operators)
Work: Reporter agrees to produce written materials such as text and articles, including photos, (the “Work” or “Content”) at the consent of SportsXpress and turn in the Work by an agreed upon timeline.
Reporter agrees that he/she will be the author of the Content, which will be original work and free of plagiarism. Reporter agrees to use reasonable care to ensure that all facts and statements in the Work are true and that the Work does not infringe upon any copyright, right of privacy or any other right of a third party. Reporter is responsible for obtaining all approvals of photos and content prior to submission.
Copyright: The Reporter retains the copyright to the specified work but grants to SportsXpress a royalty-free, sub-licensable, transferable, perpetual, irrevocable, non-exclusive, worldwide license to use, reproduce, modify, publish, translate, distribute, and make derivative works of all such Content and your name, voice, and/or likeness as contained in your Content, in whole or in part, in any media or technology.
Confidentiality: Reporter agrees to preserve and protect the confidentiality of Proprietary Information which he/she may come into contact with or have access to.
Intern/Volunteer: The Reporter is an independent freelancer, and nothing contained in this Agreement shall be construed to (i) give either party the power to control the day-to-day activities of the other, (ii) constitute the parties as partners, joint ventures, co-owners or otherwise, or (iii) allow Reporter to create or assume any obligation on behalf of SportsXpress for any purpose whatsoever. Reporter is not an employee of SportsXpress.
Conflicts of Interest: The Reporter represents that they are free to enter into this Agreement. The Reporter is free to perform services for other parties while performing services for SportsXpress.
Termination of Agreement: Either SportsXpress or the Reporter may terminate this agreement at any time, but such termination does not affect any rights granted hereunder of previously submitted material.
